Share large files directly from Dropbox with WeTransfer.

WeTransfer is the simplest way to send big files around the world. Our integration with Dropbox allows you to share files directly from the Dropbox website, with just a couple of clicks.

Share via WeTransfer maximizes the potential of Dropbox and WeTransfer, making the storage and sharing of large files simple and speedy. With no switching between platforms, you can simplify your workflow, and boost your productivity.

You’ll need to have a WeTransfer account—if you don’t, just head to our website. With a Free account, you’ll be able to send up to 2 GB in a single transfer. If you choose a Pro account, that rises to a massive 200 GB. With a Premium account, there is absolutely no size limit on your transfers.

How it works

When you connect Share via WeTransfer, you’ll be asked to allow WeTransfer to view basic information about your Dropbox account. Accept this, and you’re ready to go.

  1. From the Dropbox website, select the files or folders you’d like to share, and click the Share button.

  2. You’ll be given the option to “Share with WeTransfer”. Click on that, and a new WeTransfer browser window will open. Uploading will start automatically.

  3. You can then share your file or folder from the WeTransfer browser window by email or transfer link, just as usual.

If you’ve never used WeTransfer before, the WeTransfer browser window should make the process very clear. More help is available on the WeTransfer website if needed.

At present, this integration supports the following file types: JPG, PDF, MOV, PNG, MP3, ZIP, WAV, DOCX, TIF, XLSX, HEIC.

When you click on the Share button in the Dropbox website, you will see an option to “Share with WeTransfer”.
Selecting “Share with WeTransfer” will open the WeTransfer browser window. Your files or folders will then upload automatically after selecting 'Transfer'.
Once the upload is complete, an email is sent to both sender and receivers with download links.
